March 4,1999 The Gypsy Tea Room, Dallas, Tx
This was a night Dallas rocked! Russell Smith and the ACES gave 200% for their fans an all out extremely live performance.
The only one time I have seen them in the 23 years I have been a fan and it was awesome!! The very last song was "Love and
Happiness" and the crowd moved to the very front of the stage and man did we party! Al Green could not do it this good. Thrill
of my life!! Russell Smith sang his heart out. Jeff "Stick" Davis played the bass till it caught fire. Billy Earheart
pounded the organ and keyboards till they melted. The newest ACE Tony Bowles sure knows how to play a guitar and the new ACE
drummer, well what can I say, he beat hell out of those drums. Man what a show!!! They must have played 4 hours and we would'nt
let them stop. They just kept coming back out and gave us more. What a class bunch of people they are! I can't wait till they
come back to Texas. Guess I'll have to though, they have so many fans around the world it would not be fair to keep them here
till the end of time!
